WHERE ARE OUR GRAVEL PITS?

KM 156 on the Alaska Highway - we also refer to this as our Golden Horn Pit. This pit produces some of the cleanest material in town. In the past we’ve exclusively used this pit for asphalt aggregate, but in more recent years we’ve been processing Gran A, Gran B, Gran C and 1” Clear Stone.

During the 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons, we may be limiting access to contractors as we are making material for the Airport Runway upgrades.

Our McLean Lake Pit borders the main access road and the Copper Haul Road. This pit is located within City limits and with the exception of asphalt aggregate, we generally stock pile most of the materials on our product list.

WHERE HAS OUR GRAVEL BEEN USED?

Alaska Highway Reconstruction

CCC worked closely with Yukon Government Highways and Public Works during the pre-tender phase to identify and create opportunities for deployment of First Nation owned gravel resources within the Territorial Government’s First Nation participation and procurement mandate.

Alaska Highway Reconstruction

CCC supplied all aggregate required for the highway projects to technical specification and compliance at market-competitive rates. Supply agreements were either direct to the owner, or to the owner’s appointed general contractor. Product ranges included bank materials and screened and crushed materials, and covered applications from utility trenching through to structural pavement layers and asphalt aggregate.

Tlingit Road & Services Upgrade

This project was delivered on behalf of the City of Whitehorse. CCC’s role included developing a partnership agreement between KDFN and the City of Whitehorse and also supplying aggregate for the project. The result is fully upgraded surface and subsurface infrastructure allowing for the preparation of 12 serviced commercial industrial lots that will be available to the market in 2021 with an additional 18 acres available in 2022-2023.
